Dining at Trinity

As of September 2026,ÌýÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´Ìýwill haveÌýtwoÌýon campusÌýdining hallsÌý– theÌýnewÌýTrinity CaféÌýin theÌýLawson Centre for SustainabilityÌýand Strachan Hall.ÌýÌýBoth locations, strive to offer delicious, healthy, andÌýsustainableÌýfood to nourish the minds and bodies of our students and community members.ÌýÌý

Trinity’s dining halls operate on aÌýdeclining balance systemÌý–Ìýat every transaction, you will be charged for each individual item you selectÌýusing yourÌýResidence Meal Plan, Trinity Flex Dollars,ÌýdebitÌýor credit.ÌýA declining cash balance meal plan gives students maximum flexibility by lettingÌýyouÌýspend dining dollars however and wheneverÌýyouÌýchoose acrossÌýTrinityÌýcampus—even taking meals to go.ÌýÌý


TRINITY CAFE – Opening September 2026Ìý

TheÌýnew Lawson Centre for Sustainability (25 Devonshire Place) dining hall – Trinity Café –Ìýserves as Trinity’sÌýprimaryÌýdining facilities. From late August through April,ÌýTrinity CaféÌýwill beÌýopen all day, from breakfast through dinner, with a full meal serviceÌýextending into the evening.ÌýMore details to come in August 2026.Ìý


STRACHAN HALL

Strachan HallÌý(6 Hoskin Avenue) serves as Trinity’sÌýsmaller, secondaryÌýdining facilities. From late August through April, theÌýserveryÌýin Strachan HallÌýwill be open for modified hours. More details to comeÌýin August 2026.Ìý


THE BUTTERY

The Buttery is located on the main floor of the Gerald Larkin Building (15 Devonshire Place). The servery in the Buttery is closed, but the seating space will remain open during the year for community members to use.


DINING FOR RESIDENCE STUDENTS

All students living in the ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ residences are required to purchase a meal plan, which can be used at the Trinity Café and Strachan Hall. Given that all residence students are required to have a meal plan, all potential or current ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ students with food allergies or dietary accommodation requirements are encouraged to connect with the Office of the Dean of Student (trinity.deanofstudents@utoronto.ca) for accommodation assistance.

DINING FOR COMMUTER STUDENTS

Commuter students are welcome on campus and are encouraged toÌýcome and eatÌýat Trinity’s dining locations. Commuter studentsÌýcanÌýpay for food using debit,ÌýcreditÌýor Trinity Flex Dollars. Trinity Flex Dollars allow the holder to pre-load a set amount of money onto theirÌýTCardÌýto be used at any of the Trinity dining outlets.
