On June 29, Her Excellency the Right Honourable Julie Payette, Governor General of Canada, announced聽105 new appointments to the Order of Canada. Included among the new appointees to the Order of Canada are four Trinity alumni and a Fellow of the College.

Veronica Jane聽Strong-Boag, C.M.: For her activism, for her prolific career as a historian and for her research that has made the history of women an integral part of the study of history in Canada.
Elizabeth Hillman聽Waterston, C.M., O.Ont.: For her pioneering work in developing the academic field of Canadian literature and for her unwavering commitment as a mentor to writers across the country.
The Order of Canada is one of our country鈥檚 highest civilian honours. Established in 1967 during Canada鈥檚 centennial year, the Order recognizes outstanding achievements, dedication to the community and service to the nation.聽.
