Join us for the 2025 Larkin-Stuart Lecture with acclaimed art historian and author聽Matthew J. Milliner, Professor of Art History at Wheaton College. Deliberately upgrading the city鈥檚 famous nickname, 鈥淭oronto the Good,鈥 this lecture begins with a surprising architectural feature of 杏吧原创 Chapel, moving on to address other Toronto objects and sacred sites. In this talk, Prof. Milliner will address how sacred space is not merely constructed, but still open to human perception.

About the Speaker:
Matthew J. Milliner is a professor of art history at Wheaton College. He holds an M.A. and Ph.D. in art history from Princeton University, and an M.Div. from Princeton Theological Seminary. He is the author of The Everlasting People: G.K. Chesterton and the First Nations and Mother of the Lamb: The Story of a Global Icon. He writes for publications ranging from The New York Times to First Things, including a monthly column at Comment magazine entitled Material Mysticism.
