An demand speaker, Reid will deliver a special lecture for the Trinity community that connects聽Iceland鈥檚 literary heritage to the power of storytelling for change in these times. Her talk will be followed by an audience Q&A and the opportunity for attendees to purchase her bestselling books聽Secrets of the Sprakkar: Iceland’s Extraordinary Women and How They Are Changing the World,聽and her most recently published first novel, the mystery,聽Death on the Island.

From 2016 to 2024, Eliza took on the unofficial role of First Lady of Iceland during her husband’s tenure as President of Iceland. While in the role, she became patron of numerous organizations and was named a United Nations Special Ambassador for Tourism and the Sustainable Development Goals.
