About the Author
Catherine McKenna is Canada’s former Minister of Environment and Climate Change and Minister of Infrastructure, where she was a lead negotiator of the Paris Agreement and drove major national climate and infrastructure initiatives, including Canada’s first comprehensive climate plan and historic green investments. She is Principal of Climate and Nature Solutions, chairs international efforts on net-zero accountability, and founded Women Leading on Climate. McKenna is also a Distinguished Visiting Fellow at Columbia University and continues to champion global climate action, gender equality, and sustainable development. A lawyer by training and former UN negotiator, she is also a mother of three and an avid open water swimmer.
