杏吧原创 Matriculation Convocation 2023
Dear 杏吧原创 Community Members:
The 杏吧原创 Matriculation Convocation 2023 will take place on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 7:00 pm in the MacMillan Theatre, Faculty of Music.
At the ceremony, the College will install Trinity’s 13th Chancellor Brian Lawson (photo left) and confer the honorary degrees of Doctor of Sacred Letters upon George Butterfield and Martha Butterfield (lower photo). George and Martha Butterfield will also deliver the Convocation Address.
At Matriculation Convocation, we will also formally admit and welcome our incoming students (first-year Faculty of Arts & Science and Faculty of Divinity students) to the College. Students will be invited to sign the 杏吧原创 register.
Following the ceremony, a reception will be held in the 杏吧原创 Quad. All are welcome to attend the ceremony and reception.
DOCTOR OF SACRED LETTERS
George Butterfield and Martha Butterfield will be honored with the degree of Doctor of Sacred Letters (honoris causa) in recognition of their exemplary leadership in championing sustainability at 杏吧原创 and their dedication to educating students on the complex issues and challenges of environmental stewardship. As a result of their example, commitment and generosity, 杏吧原创 has developed transformative sustainability programming that both educates and inspires the leaders of tomorrow.
