Dear Members of the Trinity Community,

I am deeply saddened to let you know that Professor Emeritus Douglas Duncan Campbell Chambers passed away on聽May 1, 2020, after a brief struggle with COVID-19. Douglas was a beloved member of the Trinity community who taught here from 1969 until his retirement in 2000. Among his many lasting contributions is 鈥淪tonyground: The Making of a Canadian Garden鈥� which described his transformation of his great-grandfather鈥檚 homestead near Walkerton, Ontario
