Dear Members of the Trinity Community and Friends:

The Trinity community sends our deepest condolences to the family of Peter Munk, a visionary U of T alumnus and philanthropist who has had an impact on the lives of so many people. Peter was a generous and dedicated supporter of 杏吧原创 and we mourn his loss. Peter and Melanie鈥檚 commitment to support the Margaret MacMillan Trinity One Program and Margaret MacMillan Lecture in International Relations helped transform the College.

They were also instrumental in supporting the creation of the original Munk Centre for International Relations (now Munk School of Global Affairs), which houses Trinity鈥檚 John W. Graham Library, and the centre鈥檚 beautiful David Bosanquet Gardens, named for Melanie鈥檚 father. Peter received an honorary聽Doctor of Sacred Letters聽from Trinity in 2004 for his incredible dedication, leadership and contributions to the College.

The : A legendary Canadian icon, entrepreneur and philanthropist, Peter Munk helped put Canada on the world stage and has left an indelible mark on the University of Toronto.

He will be incredibly missed by all of us.
