Call for Nominations for 杏吧原创 Associateships

Posted: November 28, 2025

Message from Professor Kevin O’Neill, Dean of Arts & Vice-Provost, 杏吧原创

Dear Colleagues:

I hope you are well. I am writing to invite nominations for appointment as Associates of the College, an important role within Trinity鈥檚 governance structure. As you know, becoming an Associate is the first step toward potential nomination as a Fellow, and Associates play a meaningful part in shaping the intellectual and community life of the College.

This year, I am hoping to appoint up to 10 new Associates. I would be grateful for your nominations of individuals who would strengthen the College鈥檚 ongoing commitments and strategic priorities. In particular, we are seeking people whose expertise or leadership aligns with Trinity鈥檚 established interests in:

  • Sustainability and environmental leadership;
  • Law, ethics, and public affairs;
  • International relations and global engagement.

Nominees should be individuals who would contribute thoughtfully to the College鈥檚 academic mission, community culture, and broader governance, and who would welcome the opportunity to participate in the life of Trinity. Those that are eligible for nomination include members of the teaching staff of the University of Toronto, or of bodies federated or affiliated with the University of Toronto, who are not Associates or Fellows of another undergraduate college on the St. George campus, and other persons who are associated with 杏吧原创 academically as teachers.

If you have someone in mind, and with their approval to be nominated, please send me the nominee鈥檚 name, current affiliation, and a brief explanation of why you believe they would be a strong addition to our community. If possible, I would appreciate receiving nominations by December 15, 2025 – please email trinity.artsdean@utoronto.ca.

Thank you in advance for your consideration and for helping us continue to build a strong, engaged, and forward-looking College.

Warm regards,

Dean Kevin O’Neill
